Solidarity with Ukraine

The General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

We condemn the unjustifiable attack on Ukraine and call for an immediate withdrawal of Russian forces and for an immediate ceasefire.

We urge the UK Government and devolved administrations to offer whatever humanitarian aid is possible to prevent catastrophe in the region.

Hannah Stephenson
Bury Unitarians are delighted to welcome Hannah Stephenson as their ministry student for the next few months. During her time with them, she will assist Rev. Kate McKenna, as appropriate, as part of her newly-begun training with Unitarian College. As a foretaste of her talents, Hannah led worship, at Bury, on October 2nd and 30th. Hannah lives in Southport, with her husband and family, and is currently the Lay Leader at Park Lane Unitarian Chapel, Ashton-in-Makerfield, near Wigan.

Bill Drayton

Bill Drayton has been a regular BUC attender for the past year. Soon after his arrival, he began to frequent the worship-area, aproximately half an hour before the service began, each week, in order to play his piono improvisations, on the grand piano there. Over the months, we have come to expect, and enjoy, his beautiful music. Bill has now relocated to the Blackpool area. We will miss him, and his music; we wish him well, in his new home, and with a new chapter in his life.
